- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection with 99% accuracy
- Process and transport specimens following CLIA and CAP standards
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all patient data handling
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Train new staff on phlebotomy best practices
- Collaborate with lab team for efficient specimen processing
- Document procedures in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS/CPR certification with current credentials
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends
