Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and handle specimens according to CLIA and OSHA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic health systems
- Collaborate with lab teams to ensure timely specimen transport and processing
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume testing periods
- Train new phlebotomy staff on best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and specimen handling protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced medical environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
