Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling and suction control
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
- Provide chairside support to ensure patient comfort during treatments
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Assist with lab tasks like pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or RDA license
- X-ray certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency for patient record management
- Valid CPR certification
