Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and handle specimens with precision and accuracy
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transport of biological samples
- Maintain sterile equipment and adhere to infection control standards
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Document all activities in the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with laboratory staff for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license (if required for specimen transport)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
