Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process and handle specimens according to CLIA/CAP standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Operate automated laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for sample integrity
- Train new staff on collection procedures
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a lab setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with LIS systems preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
