Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision and care
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation systems
- Ensure sterile techniques and infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Prepare blood products for processing and transport to laboratories
- Provide exceptional patient care and communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification (BLS preferred)
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ohio state phlebotomy license (if applicable)
