Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following OSHA standards
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education and emotional support during procedures
- Operate automated laboratory equipment efficiently
- Document all procedures in electronic health records
- Collaborate with lab technicians for specimen handling
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work 40+ hours/week with rotating shifts
- Excellent venipuncture skills on diverse patient populations
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Basic computer literacy with EHR systems
