Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Operate centrifuges and other laboratory equipment efficiently
- Maintain sterile work environments and infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume phlebotomy sessions
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced medical environments
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patient comfort techniques
- Must pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED required
