Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory facilities
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation
- Ensure proper specimen handling and storage protocols
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team on patient care coordination
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary – training provided
- CPR certification required (will be offered during training)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Valid North Carolina driver's license preferred
- Background check and drug screen required post-training
