Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA standards for infection control.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable experience during blood collection.
- Label, process, and accurately log specimens into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and lab staff to ensure timely delivery of test results.
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure the phlebotomy area is clean and organized.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be willing to complete our certified Phlebotomy training program upon hiring.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred but not required for new hires.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment and patients as needed.
