Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Monitor vital signs and document client health status in medical records
- Administer prescribed medications and provide specialized care for chronic conditions
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social engagements
- Create engaging companionship activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Coordinate with family members and healthcare providers for comprehensive care plans
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment for clients
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience or certified nursing assistant (CNA) license
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English
- Empathetic demeanor with patience and cultural sensitivity
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability including weekends
- Experience working with clients with dementia, diabetes, or mobility challenges preferred
