Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures for enterprise applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve quantum supremacy in practical use cases
- Collaborate with physicists and engineers to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, AI, and materials science
- Create secure quantum communication networks resistant to eavesdropping
- Document architectures and present findings to C-suite stakeholders and research partners
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming and hardware integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proven experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum hardware
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level hardware interfacing
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Clearance for government-contracted R&D projects (or ability to obtain)
