Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead error mitigation strategies for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world deployment
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Drive quantum security protocols for blockchain and cryptography systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Experience securing DoE/NIST quantum research grants
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Strong background in Python/C++ and high-performance computing
