Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA/industry partners
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent 3+ quantum computing innovations annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Experience with superconducting/qubit hardware platforms
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
