Responsibilities
- Prepare Treatment Rooms: Set up operatory rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment before patient appointments.
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chairside assistance during examinations and procedures, ensuring the dentist has all necessary tools at their fingertips.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and comfort anxious patients throughout their visit.
- Digital Radiography: Take and develop digital X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and disinfection procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including dental charts and treatment histories.
- Administrative Support: Manage insurance claims, schedule appointments, and handle phone inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in using dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and modern diagnostic equipment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex dental procedures clearly.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in clinical procedures and record management.
- Hygiene: Current BLS (CPR) certification and clean background check required.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume dental practice.
