Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments, sutures, and equipment are sterile and ready.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies with precision and timing.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical operations to prevent infection.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any significant changes to the charge nurse or surgeon.
- Handle and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis accurately.
- Manage inventory and restock surgical supplies efficiently.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
