Job Summary
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care. You will work closely with our dentists to deliver smooth and efficient treatment while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our community.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments and equipment using strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform digital imaging as needed.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventative dentistry.
- Monitor patient comfort and vital signs during procedures.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as required.
Qualifications
- Certified Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of Michigan.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
