Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment, setting up sterile fields, and ensuring all instruments are ready for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and sterile supplies as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with remote supply chain team for timely restocking of surgical materials
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce strict aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures
- Document procedural details and equipment usage in our digital health records system
- Collaborate virtually with pre-op teams to review patient histories and surgical plans
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for surgical safety protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technology experience in hospital setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth collaboration tools
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work effectively in both remote and on-site environments
- Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary coordination
- Valid CPR/BLS certification maintained throughout employment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
