Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on best practices.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vitals and response to treatments, escalating concerns immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the wider interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license in the State of New Mexico.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
