Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to established medical protocols and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New grads welcome with relevant externships).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
