Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on clinical judgment and standards of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Document patient care services in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of New Mexico.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
