Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health and recovery protocols
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- BSN degree with 2+ years of acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring equipment preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
