Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status to identify changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and care provided.
- Respond immediately to emergent situations and utilize critical thinking to resolve patient care issues.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or medical-surgical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
