Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond immediately to any changes in status.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and disease prevention.
- Document patient care services, including changes in patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license issued by the State of Illinois.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
