Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor health status and identify changes in condition.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, ensuring all patient data is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating quick thinking and clinical expertise.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
