Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare team members to provide holistic care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, charting, and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating calm and decisive action.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection control standards and safety procedures to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Ohio.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred, Associate’s degree accepted).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required; CEN or CCRN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care with a high level of emotional intelligence.
