Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced nursing care in a 24-bed ICU unit using evidence-based protocols
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data for cardiac patients
- Administer medications and perform complex procedures (arterial lines, ventilator management)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and case managers
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Mentor new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- ACLS/BLS certifications with 2+ years ICU experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
