Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency/trauma departments with rapid assessment and intervention
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and hospital policies
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) for real-time charting and reporting
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Missouri RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years ER experience considered
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience in Level 1 Trauma setting
- Strong critical thinking and emergency intervention skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible availability
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- EMR proficiency (Cerner experience preferred)
