Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient health conditions, symptoms, and vital signs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and responses accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and changing patient needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital rounds.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
