Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care in acute care, ER, ICU, or specialty settings
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for optimal outcomes
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
- Implement patient safety protocols and infection control measures
- Supervise LVNs/CNAs and delegate tasks appropriately
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts including weekends
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Pass criminal background and drug screening
