Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Perform comprehensive physical exams and review medical histories to accurately assess patient health status.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and in accordance with legal and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor patient responses to treatments, record vital signs, and promptly report any changes or adverse reactions to the charge nurse.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and legible medical records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
