Responsibilities
- Administer patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans under the supervision of a charge nurse.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress to ensure safety and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized treatment strategies.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and nursing standards.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record system.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and care procedures.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patient needs efficiently.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
- NICU, Med-Surg, or ICU experience is a plus but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
