Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress against established care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient care services in medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate intervention when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced hospital environment.
