Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and care at home.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters and care provided.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
