Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and high-quality direct patient care in acute care and medical-surgical settings.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document clinical changes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to hospital safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and provide critical care support when needed.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical nursing experience (new graduates with exceptional credentials may be considered).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
