Responsibilities
- Provide advanced assessment and critical care for emergency patients across diverse age groups
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with precision
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Maintain strict adherence to JCAHO and NYS Department of Health regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and trauma protocols
- Mentor new staff and contribute to departmental education programs
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in emergency/trauma setting
- Strong clinical judgment and proficiency in rapid assessment techniques
- Excellent communication skills for high-pressure situations
- Experience with Epic EHR and electronic documentation systems
