Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based interventions for emergency patients across all acuity levels
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision while monitoring patient responses
- Document clinical observations and interventions in the electronic health record system
- Provide trauma-informed care during high-pressure resuscitation and stabilization scenarios
- Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO and NY State Department of Health regulations
Qualifications
- Active NY State RN license (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications maintained
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health records
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment abilities
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Commitment to continuous professional development
