Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement patient care interventions in emergency settings
- Administer medications, treatments, and life-saving interventions per protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document clinical observations accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Stabilize critical patients during trauma codes and medical emergencies
- Educate patients and families on discharge plans and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency drills
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 2+ years ED experience accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing experience
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong assessment and critical decision-making skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
