Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with facility standards and nursing protocols.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical histories to track changes and trends.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Assist in emergency situations, remaining calm and executing protocols efficiently to ensure patient safety.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (Med-Surg preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
