Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring of vital signs and clinical status.
- Treatment Administration: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Emergency Care: Provide immediate care and stabilization for patients experiencing acute medical emergencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and disease prevention.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to all safety and infection control policies to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room or Critical Care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems proficiently.
