Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their care plans.
  • Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, assist in code blue or trauma responses, and perform basic life support as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment while adhering to all hospital safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for new hires.
