Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their care plans.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, assist in code blue or trauma responses, and perform basic life support as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment while adhering to all hospital safety and infection control policies.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for new hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care and empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and sound clinical judgment.
