Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced charge nurses and physicians, ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence.
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and document patient progress accurately and timely in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist with patient admission, discharge, and transfer procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are met.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with hospital policies and OSHA regulations.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or required within 6 months of hire.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and improve patient outcomes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
