Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and orthodontic work
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suction, and patient positioning
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for efficient workflows
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage digital charting using Eaglesoft practice management software
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
