Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take accurate dental radiographs and develop high-quality X-rays
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA-compliant infection control protocols
- Perform preliminary patient assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Manage dental inventory and ordering of clinical supplies
- Deliver compassionate patient education on oral hygiene
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Exceptional chairside demeanor and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- New Mexico dental radiography permit preferred
