Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient health and document vital signs, symptoms, and progress accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes and discharge instructions.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred).
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required (or ability to obtain).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
