Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other health team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond to code blue and emergency situations with appropriate clinical interventions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required or must obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
