Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Perform accurate vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and assistance with daily living activities as prescribed.
- Conduct Assessments: Perform comprehensive health assessments and document findings accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge recovery.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict healthcare protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Respond to Emergencies: Demonstrate clinical judgment in rapidly changing situations and assist in stabilizing patient conditions during medical crises.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas (KS).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient safety and empathy.
- Experience: While previous professional experience is preferred, clinical rotations and externships are considered.
