Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across medical-surgical, ICU, and emergency departments
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and disease management
- Adhere to JCAHO standards and infection control protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based committees
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee RN license (compact license accepted)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (new graduates welcome)
- BLS certification; ACLS/PALS required for specialty units
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
