Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms safely
- Document all surgical activities and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Accredited Surgical Technology program completion or equivalent experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique skills
