Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precise attention to safety protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care
- Document clinical observations and patient progress using advanced EHR systems
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and state regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with critical thinking skills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP for specialty units)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience (ER, ICU, or Med-Surg preferred)
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible shift schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
